The Celtics endured a tough road trip last week and ended up coming away 2-3. Some negatives, but also many positives from the long trip out West. One major positive was Paul Pierce’s play and his kicks. Thank you Danny, for not trading him away!
This week’s winner of KOTW is Paul Pierce and his amazing Nike Air Legacy 3 “Black History Month” kicks.
All I can say about these kicks are WOW! These caught my eye immediately as the captain first laced them up against Portland and then again in the OT win against Utah.
Paul Pierce has been wearing Nike Air Legacy 3’s all season, he won KOTW for his Christmas day kicks, but this colourway is on another level. These are the first real jaw-dropping kicks since Rajon Rondo bought out his awesome Hyperposite’s earlier this year.
Black History Month is celebrated every February in the United States and Canada.

Personally, I think Pierce did a wonderful job in paying homage to Black History Month by wearing these kicks.
It seems strange that Pierce left it right up until the very end of February to bring these out, gee was it worth the wait though! I just can’t get enough of these, sadly it is very unlikely that these will ever be released to the public. If they are, we’ll be sure to let you know!
The part of the shoe that jumps out at you first are the orange laces and lining. Once I saw them, I was instantly hooked. When you look closer you can see just how detailed this shoe is. The grey outer with a zig-zag design blends perfectly with the orange lining.
What are your thoughts on these kicks? Are these Nike Air Legacy’s right up there as your favourite kicks of the season?
