The Daily Ubuntu – 7 Oct 2012

The Daily Ubuntu is a collection of Celtics-related news and columns from around the intarwebs, just so that you keep in touch with our favourite green team.

Talk about missing the Sully video blog updates! If you have not watched any of them, here’s episodes 1 to 4 of rookie Jared Sullinger relating the Europe trip so far.

Episode 1: Post-practice

Episode 2: Post-practice at dinnertime

Episode 3: Photo-taking pre-game in Istanbul with Bradley and Green

Episode 4: NBA Cares at Milan with Dionte Christmas

Doc Rivers promises to take mental approach with Darko, Rondo – Boston Herald

Doc talks about getting Darko to calm down and play, instead of being overshadowed by his “prestige” on being a #2 draft pick in the past. If this works, Doc is nothing short of a miracle worker.

He also talks about Rondo needing to improve on being the on-court coach, so that he can “sit on the sideline and maybe have a cup of coffee or something during the game” – Doc is funny as always.

Lots of praise for Jared Sullinger after first preseason game – CelticsBlog

In focus: Struggles in opener – ESPN Boston

Greg Payne writes about a few planet-sized weaknesses the Celtics displayed in the preseason opener. I would rather these weaknesses be exposed now, than for them to erupt later in the season. Forewarned is forearmed.

That’s all for today folks, have fun and I’ll see you soon.
