Game 3 of 82: Celtics fall to Pistons in Detroit 77-87

The Celtics drop game 3 of the season 87-77 to the Detroit Pistons.


The Pistons came out of the gates quickly leading 14-6 at the first time out, 12 of those 14 points in the paint. The Celtics finished the 1st quarter on a 15-10 run to trail by only 3.

There wasn’t much good in the second as the Pistons pushed the lead to 10 at the half, led by Drummond’s 10 points.

Detroit started the 3rd quarter on a 7-2 run to take a 15 point lead. The Celtics, led by Kelly Olynyk clawed back into it to trail by only 5 heading into the last.

Boston then started the 4th quarter on a 7-0 run to get only their second lead of the night. The Pistons quickly responded and pushed it back to 8 which the Celtics could never get back from, ending up losing 87-77.

Kelly Olynyk had a nice night of 15 points, 8 rebounds on 6-11 from the field and 3-3 from FT.
Avery Bradley had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists but his 6 turnovers were very costly.
Crawford dropped 13 whole Bass had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
